Infertility immune testing is one of the newer forms of testing to find out the causes of failure of in vitro fertilization (IVF) Infertility immune testing is a new theory that has recently been proposed by fertility specialist who believe that the body's natural immune system rejects the embryo because the immune system doesn't recognize the fertilized egg As in fertility immune testing is a radically new and currently in it's infant stages, each test can be expensive. Usually a series of test will have to be done and that could lead up to an investment of thousands of dollars. Infertility immune testing is usually for couples that have tired IVF multiple times with perfectly formed embryos but still cannot conceive. Although the process is not clearly know as no documented proof can be found, infertility immune testing as become the byword for many specialist when IVF procedures do not succeed after multiple times.

What is infertility Immune Testing?

Infertility immune testing is now available widely in most fertility clinics. But keep in mind that the test is not something that is widely accepted. There is no certain knowledge that the body's immune system has anything to do with the rejection of fertilized embryos by the female's body. There is no set procedure to testing thus each lab performs their infertility immune testing in a method that best fits the patient. The cons to this are that there is no base standard to grade against. Therefore different results can be shown for tests done in different labs. It has been shown that women that are able to conceive will show up with abnormal results on the test. This does not sit well with having this infertility immune testing done for infertile women.

Many IVF specialists and doctors suggest that at the onset of infertility treatments there is no need for any infertility immune testing to be done. As these results can only serve to complicate matters. This is especially when you are facing infertility, you already have enough on your plate and you don't need more issues. As the test serve no real purpose, many IVF specialist feel that it is a waste of money. Instead they advocate that the money be channeled to some other treatment that is been proven to be useful for helping a couple to actually get pregnant. Infertility immune testing also presents a lot of other issues. As it puts the sole responsibility of conception squarely on the woman and this is an emotional issue that would cause a lot of emotional trauma to the woman.

The Right Time

Infertility immune testing is still very much in infant stages and as no conclusive benefits having been shown it is advisable to forego these test at the onset of any fertility treatments. As there is a lot of conflicting views by medical specialist it is best to not undertake any infertility immune testing and spend your money on more proven methods.
